With nearly two decades of mortgage industry experience, Matt Harmon is responsible for processing and production management within OriginPoint’s retail branches across the country. He oversees the company’s workflow to ensure service levels are met, develops process improvements and focuses on culture building.

His life and work philosophies overlap according to an essential principle. “I live by the Golden Rule, here and outside of work,” says Matt. “Treat others how you’d like to be treated. What I love about OriginPoint’s vision is the focus on helping people, and not just the customer. OriginPoint treats people the right way.”

Matt cites the focus on customer satisfaction as the element that sets the company apart. “We’re different than any other company in the mortgage space because of a singular focus on how we impact the customer,” he explains. “People here are taught early on that we do things differently and that we don’t operate according to what other companies are doing or ‘how it’s always been done.’ We have a specific model, a set of core values that binds us together every day. When we get into work, we’re all fighting for the same cause: to be the best-in-class in processes, products and especially service.”

When Matt is not in the office, he can be found at the helm of his boat, treating his family and friends to leisure cruises on the waters of Lake Geneva in Wisconsin.
