Tom Balk is an experienced professional in the mortgage industry with a background in finance and accounting. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and has worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Tom has been in the mortgage business for over 34 years.  
Until 2018, Tom worked as a Mortgage Broker, assisting clients in finding suitable loan structures. In 2018, he joined a bank, where he worked for 5 years. However, he found that the "Big Bank" mentality limited his ability to offer clients a wide range of products and options.  
Tom decided to return to being a Mortgage Broker because it provides him with greater product flexibility to meet his clients' specific needs. Over the course of his career, he has helped more than 900 families purchase homes, and his business primarily relies on referrals from satisfied customers.  
One of Tom's strengths is his ability to analyze and put together numbers to create optimal loan structures. He can leverage his experience and connections to go directly to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac for the best prices. Additionally, if a client's requirements fall outside the standard options, Tom can search through his many approved sources to find alternative solutions.  
Tom takes pride in his dedication to client satisfaction and provides personalized service by personally returning calls and emails and addressing any questions clients may have. He emphasizes competitive interest rates and assures clients that he will be there for them throughout the process.
